I got that cooler as a bonus when I bought a Pentium II (stock hsf) on ebay. What are its advantages, if any? I guess it'll be a good backup for when the stock fan dies.

Side note: I'm quite honestly surprised that these coolers barely move any volume of air at all...

These chips really didn't get that hot. quite a large percentage were actually cooled without dedicated fans up until the 450mhz era, but it was still common for OEMs to go fanless.

as long as the fan works, don't worry about it.
