I find this odd, since the game was fairly popular and the V2 came out /after/ it, but there's a problem with it and no textures being translucent. It's not a game breaker but it's super annoying and leads me to just use a TNT2 or something for it instead.
I'll get a screenshot up later if needed (having some trouble with that), but just wanted to see if this was a known issue.
Jedi Knight had a patch released to fix Voodoo2 SLI support which makes the system hang for some reason. Perhaps it fixes translucent textures too? Otherwise, I reckon it's probably a driver issue, I'm sure I've played this game on Voodoo2 SLI and never noticed anything out of place. It's one of my favorite games 😁.
Hate to give birth to a dead thread but I am having this exact problem using Voodoo 2 SLI. The game itself freezes at 1024x768, and at 800x600 there is no translucent textures and visible pink throughout. Updated to 1.01. Using FastVoodoo 4.6
That's odd, but perhaps it's due to the FastVoodoo drivers. Try using the latest reference drivers instead and see if that changes anything.
