Is this laptop decent for win98se / dos gaming , and how bad is sb emulation ?

Looks like it got some kind of dual sound setup and the CS4624 PCI should be Sound Blaster Pro compatible under DOS . FM isn't very good on the CS4624 and you should select Adlib instead of Sound Blaster for music if it sound totally destroyed.

If you're looking for good DOS sound compatibility in a Thinkpad, look at models such as the 380XD or the 770D; they use the CS4237 chipset which is quite good in DOS.
