If anyone is familiar with this system or knows where to look, I need to acquire all the drivers except graphics drivers for this PC, can someone direct me to a reputable place that would have the drivers I need.

Main Computer: Custom - Intel 12900K, Asus Nvidia 3080 Ti, 64 GB DDR5.
Retro Computer: Packard Bell Legend I - AMD 286, 640KB RAM
Retro Computer: Dell Dimension 4400 - Pentium 4 2.8 GHz FSB 400 MHz, ATi Radeon 9600XT, Sound Blaster Live!, 768 MB RAM.

Motherboard is actually manufactured by Intel and standard Intel drivers work best 3.20.1008 been the latest
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/541 … NFINST-ENU-EXE-

Onboard sound is a bit harder as its during the time Creative took over Ensoniq, I'm not sure how compatible drivers are even though its the same hardware
Look for drivers matching:
Sound Blaster PCi 64
Ensoniq AudioPCI 64
ES1371/ES1373
Also grab the 8MB waveset

I had all the original disks and the Gateway CD binder for years but i haven't seen mine in a while. Now I'm trying to think of where it is...

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.

Finally figured out the chipset, which is buried under the Slot 1 mounting plastic is the following:

Intel AGPset FW82443BX chip
Intel PCIset FW82371EB chip
Creative ES1373

I found the drivers for the AGPset chip, nothing for the PCIset.

Thanks for the help, it was confusing figuring out what was what as the nomenclature is different on the chip than the actual names of the chipsets.

No problem,
I forget if the G6 is the Slot 1 or Socket 370 based system.
If its Slot 1 You actually have the legendary Intel SE440BX-3 (the 3 designates OEM) This is what a lot of VM's emulate due to its stability 😀
I prefer slot 1 to 370 so don't know as much about that motherboard, accept it's still made by intel, Motherboard driver wise though both are identical.

What OS are you looking for drivers for? Pretty relevant to point you in the right direction...

Actually I ended up finding the drivers I needed, but for the record, I was looking for Windows 98 drivers as I was using Windows 98 SE for this machine.

The problem I was running into is that naming schemes for drivers and the name on the chips themselves were not uniform and not clear what was what.
