Hi!

I have been offered a MS-5169 v2.1 that I really wanted to use as a flexible K6-2+ mb - but it seems like v4.0 is the only board supporting the 3.5 BIOS required.

Anyone tried modifying the MB somehow or is it impossible? I've seem something about a oscillator I think - and a larger BIOS chip. Maybe not worth the effort, but seems to be hard to get compatible boards now at a good price.

I have Bios 3.7 installed on my rev 2.1. so far it works and is reported elsewhere to run K6-2 500 in that rev with bios 3.7. I guess 3.5 should work too then.

unfortunately dont have a k6-2+ / k6 III+
Has anybody tried ?
