Anyway, looks like a pretty generic turbo XT board, can do without the manual.
As with all XT-class boards, for IDE drives you need an 8-bit IDE controller (eg. XT-IDE), 16-bit ones won't work.
As for other 16-bit cards, it depends on the card - eg. many 16-bit VGA cards do work in 8-bit slot, but some don't.

I'm not sure about it, but it doesn't seem that board supports more than 640 KB RAM - the empty sockets are probably for parity chips.
Anyway, on those XT boards with support for 1 MB RAM, it isn't very useful - the extra RAM is typically used as a RAM-drive.
