Hello everyone, I'm looking for help finding an upgrade for the video memory of an IBM 2133-540 PC. The video system is based on a CL-GD5424 video chip with 512K of memory, expandable to 1MB via 512K expansion over 40pin zif. Any idea how / where to find this component? Thanks everyone for your time

As requested, here are some images of the motherboard with the detail of the insertion socket for the expansion of the video memory

I think this may be what you are looking for:

Your board looks like the soldered on chip is 60 ns but these I found are 70 ns so not 100% sure it will work.

Just for future reference, that style of chip is called ZIP.

I know this is dated by I found this when searching for information on my IBM 2133-23c. I've been able to successfully upgrade the video memory for the CL-GD5424 on my IBM 2133-23c and 2155A-24C PS/1 computers. I soldered an additional chip in the available pads. @Epictronics1 on youtube has a video on this upgrade. Just be careful in the tight space with your soldering iron!
