My win98 se machine is hanging when using phils computer lab pif file. I pinpointed it to the kvm software installed on the pc. Is there a way to make the two work together or am I boned. I run the .pif and pc hangs it requires a hard reset then goes to dos boot menu. It is a usb kvm after I uninstall software .pif works but then there is no mouse emulation.

What KVM /software?
Only KVM's I've ever come across are hardware based and dont need any software installed?

You can also try end task the software before using the pif if its running in the background, explorer will will kill off anything but windows itself which shouldnt effect anything as your about to boot into dos anyway
