Hi, I'm trying to setup a CT3600 but no matter what I do (followed a few guides with fresh W95/DOS6.11 installs), I can't get aweutil (on dos) or the Advanced Wave Effects Synthesis for AWE 32 to work.
On Windows I when I try to open the AWE Control Panel, I get this error:
https://pasteboard.co/K1H7Qgj.x-ms-bmp

This is what I see in the Device Manager: https://pasteboard.co/K1H6REo.x-ms-bmp

The board has no RAM installed. Any ideas? I just got this board, could it be that the EMU8000 is not working on this unit?

Did you run the Creative PnP Configuration install software for DOS ?
I have a CT3600 PnP Awe32 and it has two 1MB 30 pin 3 chip 70nS simms on it.
Yes it is possible the the EMU8000chip is bad but it could also be due to bad PnP configuration, other resource conflict, or just does not like your boards PnP BIOS...

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Hey Horun, thank you so much for the help!

I don't I think I tried that. The only thing I tried was the "diagnose.exe" binary. Unfortunately the board has no RAM in it. Could it be due to that?

Do you have a reference on where I can find this utility?
