Indeed I find it useful. I don't have the V7700 TNT2, but was considering buying one.
I have the 32MB GF2 PCI card though. and a whole bunch of TNT2 M64's though.

From a performance perspective I honestly can't tell you ATM. But I wouldn't recommend using a TNT2 due to the complete lack of paletted texture support. IF you play games with paletted textures, you should stay away from the riva tnt cards.
