OK, I may be reading the jumper settings wrong on the motherboard. Me being the competent computer person I am thought X=ON, and 0=OFF (0/1[X] meaning OFF/ON in binary right?)... The manual says otherwise.
I can get the MMX233 running at 233 with 66x3.5 2.8, but anything other than that is a no go or just downclocks to 200 or 133 for w/e reason that I can't wrap my head around. Why couldn't Gigabtye have used an easier to ready silk-screen???

Anyways... I may have accidentally ran the K6-2+ at 3.5V... It still gets a little warm so I know it's not just refusing to do anything but I don't have another way to test the CPU so it's either borked or just not compatible with rev1.1. I Just ordered a k6-2-550 (non-plus) so let's see if that gets me anywhere. At least it would be better than an MMX.

Well update, using the 1.1 manual, I created a custom google sheets... sheet using ON/OFF values to be less confusing to me. I finally got the MMX to post at 100x2.5, So on to the k6-2+. Will update soon.
If anyone is interested, here's my custom jumper settings sheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PAC … d=0&single=true

--EDIT--
Still a no go with the k6-2+ at 2.1v, I'm fairly certain even with the F7b BIOS this motherboard revision does not support the K6plus CPU's. Oh well, looking forward to at least a non-plus K6-2, and for the time being playing around with a P-MMX at 100x2.5.

Thanks for all the help guys, and if anyone else has any more ideas please chime in.

@ifrito5:

According to
http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/J.Steunebrink/k6plus.htm
the board should fully support the K6 plus, even with the F6 bios.
If you have a possibilty try testing the cpu on another board. Or underclock it to 250MHz (2.5 * 100), but of course only with 2.1V not like the Pentium MMX 😁

But I am afraid, if you really have run it at 3.5V for some seconds, it will be dead now.

Actually I got it to post with a K6-2+ 550. Now my problem is it will randomly reboot to a blank screen even while in BIOS. I thought it was heat related (did these old boards/CPU's even support high-temp shutdown/reboot?) but the heatsink is not even close to being warm when it happens. I have been pretty busy the past couple of days so I haven't been able to check if it's a voltage problem or my temp. GPU (GeForce 256 SDR, my V3 died unfortunately).

At high temp these boards just lock up. Found that out when my CPU fan failed and I didn't notice so it overheated. That was with a Cyrix CPU, maybe the AMD has a different reaction?

Well I dug trough one of my boxes, turns out I have a GeForce2 GTS Pro (wow, thanks past me for saving all these old GPU's from my father's old PC home repair). I installed that and the issue disappeared. Now when it boot to Windows there's lines everywhere so I thing the GTS is on it's way out.

At least now I know it's not the motherboard.
