Glass that is transparent to visible light absorbs nearly all UVB. So even if something is behind glass its not getting direct sunlight.

And uvb is probably what causes the bleaching outdoors while heat from sunlight and probably also moisturenin the air are catalyzing something, most likely bromine, to cause yellowing. Imo.
