Why do I need a MSB-1? I could get one, but I think in my case it is not necessary.
For complete awesomeness (or for external modules)?

Have a little patience because I have bought the LAPC-I Service Manual, when I return to my office in a couple of days I can tell you exactly what this part is.
Roland part #12389715 - KMFC-1002T 4MHz (Including Capacitor 30pF x 2) 😉

Well that is an argument. But I only look for functionality. I still can use a different card to attach external devices. That is less expensive, maybe I won't be able to have a MPU401 Port that is fully compatible, but this should not be an issue with GM devices and related games.
