No, you should know the proper way is to remove the lid of the hard drive, sand the bad sector with 800 grit, then polish it with some baking soda and water. Leave the baking soda in there, it helps with cleaning the drive. Viola! No more bad sectors!
(***Disclaimer: Don't do this. This is bad. Honestly, if somebody was dumb enough to do this, they deserve the dead HDD, but still. ***)
