Sound Blaster AWE32 CT2760. I’ve only had this for a week or so, but it is my new favorite sound card, replacing my ES1688. The search for old-time sounds cards is over. It’s missing the User and Getting Started Guides, but I picked those up elsewhere.

Ah. Vienna SF Studio. Got to know that tool intimately in the 90s when I made music with the AWE32 using Cakewalk Pro. Good times.

Picked up this card this weekend. A new (used) GPU for my Ultimate Win98SE machine. It is an ATi X800 XL, one of the fastest cards with official Win98SE support 😀.

Paid lot for the pair of voodoo2 cards?

What I see out there is selling over priced.

Cheers,

What do they go for? I was lucky and found a pentium 2 that had a voodoo 2 in it and i just picked up a monster 2 3d card cheap the other day. Can those two cards be linked? SlI , whatever?

Running average is 100 to 200 USD depending on desirable models of voodoo2, especially 12MB.

Cheers,

I managed to snag a matching pair of Voodoo 2s from a Goodwill auction about two years ago for somewhere between $200-300 I think.

Holy SHIT at those Voodoo 2 prices...

all 3dfx GPUs seem to be running stupid prices right now, Voodoo II and Voodoo5 5500 are the worst for it, there is a metric ton of Voodoo 3, Voodoo 1, Rush and Banshee models on eBay so prices range a fair bit but you can get some good deals if you hunt around. Voodoo4 4500 is the odd one, there are so few available that getting a metric on good or bad prices for them is hard.

You, the 3dfx prices now are insane. I'm glad to say I've never spent more than about $35 for a v2 12MB or any Voodoo 3. My spare V5-5500, I snagged for $100 before the prices started to go crazy.

$100 USD ?

God I wish they were still at that price.

I sold all my Voodoo cards just before the price started to skyrocket. Had hoped to replace them, but guess that's not happening 😀

See my graphics card database at www.gpuzoo.com
Constantly being worked on. Feel free to message me with any corrections or details of cards you would like me to research and add.

Even 4004, they were around 100$ a piece and then prices went through the roof.
Still banging my head.

We should open a thread with Genna and John. They sure remember all the details of lower prices.
Maybe you are right, it was more on the 300-400 side. In 2006 it was out of my reach already. 😀
And NOS grey traces - super rare and super $$$ 🤣

I bought it in such condition few weeks ago. Have no idea how and where it was stored before. The man who sold it had for sale many other vintage notebooks from 286 to 486...

I got these four Plextor PX-760A PATA drives today. One needed a lens cleaning. All work fine and are flashed to the latest RPC1 firmware now. This and the SATA version PX-760SA are the last drives made by Plextor. (The successors were made by various OEMs like Pioneer.)

Question regarding plextors....

I have a 760A too and I was looking for the firmware upgrade (if any) and plextor software to go with it, can you point me in the right direction for them? I installed plextor tools on my windows xp machine but they refused to work, can't remember the version though.

thanks!
