12MB version of the Voodoo 2. Not quite a visual match for my Creative V2, but I don't care that much. Just really happy to be able to mess with SLI now. And I'm really happy that drivers exist to allow SLI between different vendor cards. I made up an SLI cable from an old floppy cable and I was surprised how quick and easy it was. Now I need to agonize about what sort of system I would want it in. 😀

And finally, the really big deal. I had one back in the day, but it's long gone now. Based on the average prices I had just been resigned to the idea that I'd never have one again. I'm kinda buzzing with how excited I am to have one back in my possession. 😁 I suppose the only downside is that I'm pretty sure I'll need to do a lot of research to avoid the pitfalls with this thing. But that's kinda part of the fun.

Offered and bought a used Automatic Seiko from USA because I had to replace my current Seiko automatic watch had incorrectly serviced using thin crystal (sapphire I think) finally shattered, should had been a thicker type but the crystals I see out there even correct one are heavily beveled than originals. Repair watch forums had same comments about these issue.

This watch is much treasured because this is hard to find this particular dial style but I fortunately found another with same face style. Easy to read even in the dark.

I'll rehouse my other watch in another case with good crystal once I found another one. Seiko is smart about keeping movements the same dimensions, eg: I can swap ancient 1960 era 17 jewel 6308 movement for new modern Seiko Sii 24 jewel NH35A movement and keep original hands and dial.

BTW the india sourced seikos are 100% fakes (including case) even the movements are sloppily serviced or worn out, even rusted (!!), I did source an couple for curiosity sake. Not of correct dimensions vs original Seiko design.

Rescued an old computer from e-waste that looked somewhat uncommon. It's a Digital Prioris XL Server 5133DP. I haven't found much info on the web about exactly this model, but back then (around 1996) it must have cost a fortune. It has VGA and SCSI onboard, 5 EISA slots, 3 PCI, two CPUs on a plugged-in CPU module and all RAM slots are occupied. Unfortunately the front door is missing but the tower is built (and heavy) like a tank. I hope it still works. Haven't tested it out, yet..

I had a 64MB DDR model of this exact card a few years ago. It worked briefly, then displayed artifacts once and then never worked again. I replaced all the caps and it was still dead. I ended up selling it in a big parts lot. Now, I'm wondering if it was just a bad BIOS or something. 😮

It was missing the backplate anyway, so it was still going to be a project even if I ever got it working... but... I so wanted that thing to be functional.

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.

i have a radeon 9250 in an athlon xp, a nice card for what is often a very good price, it can play most games of that time just fine

MediaVision PAS Plus (SCSI variant), Everex Tape Drive controller, MSI K7D Master Rev. 1 with two Athlons MP 2000+ (I have another one of this boards laying around which was recapped some time ago - this one has all original caps which are not buldging...).

As for the Everex EV-833 controller I wonder if the internal 50-pin connector is SCSI... I didn't found any documentation, some sources state so, but I'm not sure...
