So the other guy went from 300E for just one desktop to dumping everything for 350, I bet his wife is celebrating tonight 😀
Thats >500 euro for bunch of dreg and potentially 3 $100 voodoo cards + one ss7 AGP system someone might pay $200 because of childhood trauma. DEC might be interesting tho. But lets not kid ourselves, you most likely wont sell any of it because "its too much hassle" "post might damage it" "ebay selling is just a bunch of scams anyway" :]

What's not to like about a Dreamcast, first Xbox and a Playstation2 in the collection, if one have access to a 14/18 inch CRT tv.

Don't forget the Gamecube 😀

I dont like gamecube.....

It was the most powerful (PS2 had blocky textures, bleh !), and most tiny, and cute.

The gamecube is legendary.

As a kid, playing Luigi's Haunted Mansion and Def Jam: Fight for NY was quite fun yes.

I also have some dual CAN-BUS controllers for PC-104 industrial systems… not that useful to the normal user… but cool anyways 😂

Hey! This is a perfectly valid line of thought!

As for me, I bought three PCI graphics card over the weekend from auctions. Probably paid too much for at least one of 'em. Damn competitive streak got the better of me again.

Still waiting for them to arrive, of course; guess it'll take 'til at least Wednesday or Thursday.

Hmm.. Nice and loud Compaq DL380 G0/G1. And two Opteron case badges on that black one. Could it be?

Oh my... Dual Opteron 248 on an Iwill DK8EW (nForce Pro 2200) with 4 Gigs of ECC Reg? And a MSI Radeon HD 4850 512MB + some SCSI drives connected to nothing (probably the controller was removed from the system).

Probably I'm going to get another housing for this. And I'm wondering if two Opteron 285 / 885's are gonna work.

I really love old servers and industrial PCs... They have often the most interesting Hardware.
Its not really easy to find Servers with hardware that is somewhat standard... but if you do its awesome...

Edit:
The original board was a Tyan K8S Pro, that explains the number of SCSI drives. There was a mainboard lay-out sticker in the inside, on the lid.

The beauty pageant of the expansion cards continues as the number #2 contestant, Hercules 3D Prophet II GTS poses in always so fashionable teal blue.

I miss the days when you could look at a card and say "That looks pretty.". Now, it's all bland, uniform mechanical monstrosities.

Those Asus Noctua editions are pretty cool I must say. But waaay too overpriced (is that double like white snow?) And one must really like the brown/beige color scheme.
A few Noctua fans, tie wraps, wires and a soldering iron is much cheaper. Plus an industrial look as a bonus.

Y'all ain't seen the GTX1060 BitWrangler Edition with it's effortless blend of raypunk and retro kitsch 🤣 Re: What modern activity did you get up to today?

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

Copper or anodized aluminium are the best.
I have this card, blue is cool 😀
