Bought a nice Diamond Monster 3D Voodoo Graphics card from a seller in Germany.
Untested so probably not working. After inspection 1 cap seems to be missing and one damaged. All the other components seem to be there and as far as i can tell no damaged traces.
For the very reasonable price I paid only a small fix. Hopefully it will work after that.
I bought this Soltek KT133A board, it needs full recap but board is in great shape.
Reminds me I gotta pull my KT7's out of storage and give em a recap..
I don't buy much anymore, and in particular I try not to buy motherboards because they take up so much space. But then, these popped up:

I have another Pentium III 866 but it is not an SL4MD (866/256/133/1.7V), but rather an SL43J (866/256/133/1.65V - would they work as a pair on this board and do I need to modify it in any way (remove a terminator resistor from the socket etc?) to do that?
The Socket 8 board has a curious brown stain on the chipset and I hope it is not a burn mark, but we will see..

Looks like flux to me, or just a simple stain. If it were a burn mark, it wouldn't look like that.

Are you talking about the stain on the label on the BIOS chip? That won't be a burn mark. Possibly just some kind of spillage.

Been having the retro blahs, and general blahs the last week since the MSI Kn133 was messing me around, but GoodWill might have just cheered me up, found this in local store...
Box looks a little "shelf worn" I wonder if it's actually got a motherboard in it...
It does, and it looks rather shiny, board package was not sealed, though some other thrifter may have opened it.
Last pic, accessories that were in there, CD, case sticker, sealed cable package, has dual serial, parallel and PS/2, IDE and Floppy, spare jumpers in the corner. No USB connectors, not sure if that was extra. No paper manual or other paperwork, not sure if it was all on the CD in 99 or whether that is missing.
Overall it looks very new and unused. Revision 1.05 with revision 1A of the chipset though and 512kb cache, so not the super goodest version of all versions but a'ight for around big mac meal price.
Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.
Please upload an iso of the CD to VogonsDrivers. I'd like a copy, as I'm sure other would as well. My board is revision 1.04 (so ready for K6+ CPUs) but I'm sure the drivers will be the same.

It appears identical to the one at archive dot org under the title "Asus P5A Motherboard Driver CD 5.15" ... I am a wuss about large uploads if not required because I still only have an official 1 Mbit upload and often get less (cable line shared bandwidth suckage)

Yes, that is the one. The more I look at it the more it looks like a glue residue/stain from a sticker that was on there at some point, and fell off.. I haven't tested it though, that will have to be next week.

No USB connectors, not sure if that was extra. No paper manual or other paperwork, not sure if it was all on the CD in 99 or whether that is missing.
Overall it looks very new and unused. Revision 1.05 with revision 1A of the chipset though and 512kb cache, so not the super goodest version of all versions but a'ight for around big mac meal price.

Yes, I said '99 above, but looking at the chip date codes, I'm seeing a week 44 of 2000 on the northbridge of mine, haven't spotted later, so mine must have been shipped in last quarter of 2000. I think I see 0016 on yours, a little blurry, so yours may haven been shipped at beginning of 2nd quarter 2000. They must have run out of those boxes, designed when 100Mhz and K6es were exciting, and with it definitely being all about Athlons and P4s by late 2000 started using their generic boxes with just the sticker unique to contents.
edit: Your's is a Rev 1.04? Can't see it, but just got my .04 out and see the obvious differences between my new .05 and my .04 are that the tag chip is absent on the .05, (In the chipset???) Then in first post about it I forgot how to read chipset rev, where the "new" one is a G and the .04 is an E. My .04 has a latest spotted date code of 9924, so nearly a whole year older than your .04. Another difference is at the base of PCI slot 1 and 2, asus seem to have got a new SMM chip made which is handling the WOL header and "stuff" on the .05 . The vreg looks revised but other areas of the board look untouched.
