Oh that board is sexy. A decent Socket 4 board is practically the only missing system I don't have. That white is so nice! If you decide you want to let it go, shoot me a PM, we can work something out.

Yeah, United States coastal weather is a real bitch. Its one of the many reasons I would never want to live by the coast,

Tornado alley is not much better though. I fear the poles will melt, hence the north atlantic current will stop. As melted cold water is the engine that drives it. Then there will be nothing to cool down the east coast of north america, and nothing to heat up the coast of western europe. As far as I have heard, there are one more big tornado heading for the US as of now. Will hit after Irma.

I live in denver. All the snow goes to the mountains, all the tornados are hundreds of miles to the east, all the major heat is in the south, and all the super cold is in the north.

That said, we have enough people here, no more room. Expect to pay $1300+ a month for a 2bd/2bath in a non-shit neighborhood. And even in the bad neighborhoods are $1000+

I just won this on eBay. Sadly, shipping is quite high, probably due to the Thrustmaster T2

The prize of the bunch, at least to me, is the boxed, complete, Sierra Screamin' 3D (Rendition Verite v1000)!

I can find no record of any for sale, so I don't know how much they sell for. They are clearly fairly uncommon.

Ooh, that Sierra card is a great find. I have a loose one. It is the only Rendition Verite 1000 card I have. I bought it only to play the hardware-accelerated version of Descent II from DOS. (I can't get D2 to play nice with the V2100 or V2200.) Works great for that -- love that card.

^^ That's funny, I used to play Descent 2 all the time on my V2100 (Stealth II S220.) There are some variables you have to set and a patch for it. See this post for the patch and my own post two later for an example Descent2.bat with the variables set.

A few things arrived:

Sound Blaster 16 CT1740
Quantum Maverick MV54A011 540MB IDE HDD
Fujitsu M1614TAU 1.1GB IDE HDD
Teac FD-55GFR 5.25" Floppy Drive

Oh, and not pictured: two sets of Enlight case drive mounting rails which I had a hard time finding (was disappointed when I discovered that Antec rails turned out to not be suitable substitutes 🙁 ). That's for a different build from the above pictured items though.

Nice vintage pair of Hercules Terminator Pro. If you decide to sell one, drop me a PM and see if we can work something out. There's something about Hercules cards from that era that I like (for the right price, of course).

See my graphics card database at www.gpuzoo.com
Constantly being worked on. Feel free to message me with any corrections or details of cards you would like me to research and add.

Picked up a couple of interesting cards.

This first one I thought was a cheap V3 2000 when I hit the BIN. I didn't look too closely. It turns out to be a V3 1000 made for Gateway. It has only 8MB RAM, but that RAM is 6ns SGRAM. The card is clocked at 143MHz. I don't have one of these in my collection, so I'm happy to have made the mistake.

The other is an Asus V6800. Didn't have a Geforce 256 DDR in the collection until now.

Got an unusual 5GB drive for my HDD collection. Micropolis was known once for expensive SCSI enterprise drives, but by 1997 they had introduced this cheap-looking "Mustang" line of IDE drives for consumer boxes, shortly before folding altogether. The exterior of this unit is similar to ~1GB Maxtors and Conners: like they were trying to manufacture them as cheaply as possible. This particular unit turned out to be defective (corrupt SMART and bad sectors), which is fine anyway as it's just a collectible for me.

Man, I remember that Fujitsu Hard Drive. All of a sudden, the PCB board died many years ago mysteriously.

Considering buying some of the below, would vogons help me with deciding which ones are worth having? Also is the motherboard/cpu/ram set worth $25?

IMO any working board of that vintage is worth 25.

Seconded - 25$ is a good price.
Be aware that if you pick the 100mhz cpu that you most likely won't be able to run it in this board. Also it's ISA only - so no "fast" games.

Yeah, I actually had the smaller 540MB version of this model in my Unisys CWD-4001, but it died a few days after arriving. I only grabbed this drive on a whim because I was already buying a few other things from the same guy... didn't cost much to add. 😀 Hope neither of these dies within days, heh.

All the CPUs are 3v-3.3v-3.45v Socket 4 (?) and won't fit this board I'm sure, I have no board to use them with.. Coincidentally I also hasve an Intel 480DX4-100 so most all of these chips are just impulse buys for me in case there is anything special about them, which I guess there isn't?

What about the chip with the integrated copper heatsink? Looks like a 486 package but the heatsink is odd - is that a Pentium Overdrive of sorts?

He also has a Pentium 100 and a GXm-233GP on sale (which I almost bought thinking it would be a fun chip to try in my Socket 7 build, but turned out it's not compatible with Socket 7), a U5-Super33 (which could be fun to have but I have a 486 board with the same CPU soldered on.. Granted, it's a shit board with no cache or VLB, but still..) and an intel DX2-66.

Not sure what I should, if any, I should buy alongside the motherboard (which I already confirmed I'll buy)
