CL 5434 is pretty much the fastest in DOS. But not by much compared to 5429, Tseng ET4000 and the rest of good chips. In Windows it's another story. MACH64 2MB VRAM is the fastest by far (30-50%). W32i is slower then 5434.

Requests are also possible... /msg kixs

A fairly useless, but interesting graphics card: the GeForce FX 5200 Ultra. It even has fan control. 😎

New loot box in:
full.png

The Voodoo3 (Dell OEM V3-3000 without TV-Out) and a nice ESS Solo PCI card with PC/PCI (SB-Link) are actually useful, and <1GB HDDs without bad sectors are always nice for period-correctness, but it's the other things that steal the show:
- the Asus PCI-AV868 is the wet dream of someone with a P55TP4XE (or any other Mediabus 1.2 board - if any were made)
- that big plate behind the optical drives is a plastic display case containing 3kB of magnetic core RAM

Still trying to get some back story on the magnetic core stuff. It looks relatively late for that tech and has some ICs on the PCB, so I guess 1970s era - which is also likely given the large 3kB capacity. There are some hand-written notes in German, which could be another clue. No big Nixdorf logos or other give-aways though.

I have that card and the Mediabus rev1.2 board too, I am actually having a really hard time finding a Mediabus revision 2.0 board with graphics+audio combined for one of the other boards.. 😐

This board just came in the mail last evening. 4 day shipping from S. Korea to the US is awesome. I'll be busy this weekend. 😀

What is the processor speed? It's cool to see SIPP memory slots on a 286. If I can find my dad's old stash of hardware, such as either the 286 & 386 motherboards, and Sound blaster card from the early 1990's, I'd remove the batteries, check for damage, repair them, use my trusty multimeter for continuity, and smoke test them.

It's 12MHz. I have another 286 with SIPPs, they weren't rare in that era.

Got a P4 based laptop with a FireGL9000 - Compaq Evo N800w. Good specs but horrendous casing... the outside rubber practically melted... really messy cleaning job. Maybe the previous owner painted it himself but I doubt it.
If there were drivers available for Win9x it would be a near perfect system for older software as the scaling of the screen is not blurred but crispy(natural is 1600x1200) and thus looking very good at, for example, line doubled 320x200.

Case says 8232? And I assume you mean MB not GB?

So thats the seoncd one of these that has come up in as many weeks?

Where the hell do you get this stuff, I have looked high and low for a SimFusion for the past 5 years. I even have conacts in the industry that used to use these cards and have seen nothing? There was a guy in Russia about 8 years ago that 3 of them?

Have the same...since end of the 80s with Pad+Box+Software. You need to press the left button on during power-on to make it compatible with the MS-driver in 2-button mode.

Eye-catcher... the AGP retention tab doesn't look like it would last with repeated insertions. 🤣

Haul is impressive...
