After being on a business trip for a few days, I came back to the office to find that three packages had arrived 😀
Without going into further detail, all this stuff was very reasonably priced (~ 120€ for everything).
Some of these cards will make for very nice additions to my systems, others will go into storage to be used later.

I like the assortment of stuff, I also like buying these lots a lot more then spending huge amounts on single items ^^

some 1995 goodies:
- Matrox Millenium with expansion to 8MB WRAM
- SPEA V7-Mercury P64V
- Diamond Stealth 64 Video VRAM also expanded to 4MB

Second Ultra Sparc II 450MHz processor card for my Ultra 60. Processor card is without the plastic shroud in the picture. It is quite a beast compared to for example Slot 1 processors of the same era.

Got this for my mII-266GP build; I needed a PCI card with TV-Out for capturing DOS footage through S-Video. This is a SiS 6326 PCI. It ought to do.. I would hope.

Whole machine is very similar; its design and build quality is top notch and very little compromises was made. They were also extremely expensive.

Unix workstations of the past from Sun, SGI etc are fascinating machines, but also challenging from the vintage computing stand point of view, as very little information is available and so much of these is proprietary starting from the mouse and keyboard. They can also be somewhat boring, because finding entertaining or interesting software for them can be challenging. Nonethless I encourage everyone to get one of these for their collections, because they are a peculiar but short part of the computer history and I dare to say that we won’t see such specialized workstations ever again.

They are still quite expandable and you can even install a SUNPci card in them which is a x86 single board computer to the UPA bus. Basically it is an expansion card which allows you to run for example Win95/98 on its own hardware and display it on a window on Solaris. Now, how cool is that? 😀

Today my wife gave me an early xmas present. Not one, but two, IBM Model M keyboards! Whoo!

The blue logo one dates from 1993 and the light logo one dates to 1988. Must have cost a small fortune to get these puppies shipped to Australia...

Edit: I never had a Model M before.These guys are freaking heavy!

Sh*t ! well that sucks. All his reviews seemed ok and had been a member for a few years, he had a few probs with some items taking too much ship time but other than that nothing exotic. Thanks for the info ! I lost my orig, Ebay account due to inactivity a few years ago so know they can be brutal.

Thanks! He shipped the package a day ago and it is in transit. Ebay will not help me contact him or forward any questions I have, so far. Did find out he had been active on Ebay since 2010, changed his nick in 2016 and had over 500 total sales in the last 9 years. Wish they would tell me if he was banned or just unregistered/changed his nickname.

two new cases arrived, one is for socket5, another for a 93 dx2-66. they like a christmas jumpers - ugly, but like them 😀

Just picked this up locally today. After going through 5 used broken attempts to get another 9800pro I'm going to assume this one is likely to work.

I remember being so happy, Boxing Day 2004, when I grabbed one of these on sale at Future Shop. Went into my Pentium 4 computer at the time and was such a massive upgrade from the cheapo card I was using in that computer up until then. Later on, I had problems with the card overheating and bought a third-party replacement heatsink+fan, but after a couple years even that started showing problems. I don't know if the heating problems were just specific to my card or if these were known for those issues, but hopefully you don't run into anything like that!

Ouch. In what way were they broken?

I've heard these are failure prone -- suspected overcooking, & of course 2003 caps. Mine's been fine.

Bought a 20 pack of 16x CDR media because I only have 2 blank CDR left that can burn at 4x or 8x speeds. $9 including shipping...

They were all artifacting to different degrees. It's always a problem to have to deal with the sellers who say they were working when they were removed but usually admit they hadnt actually tested them later on. I don't even plan on opening this box unless my current one dies and I can't fix it.

Thanks. Was just curious if that was a rarer Extreme Edition model, but that is N346 rather than N345. Nice find regardless. It's the card I upgraded to when Half Life 2 and Doom 3 got released.
