All in all, I'm quite happy with the newest addition to my collection. 😎 Just testing the waters at the moment, going to be loading games from .cas tape images before getting 1 of the addon cartridges later in the year (probably the MegaFlashROM SCC+ SD). I may even consider an MSX2 or MSX2+ in the future.

The MSX is a great little machine. In 2+ guise it is genuinely shocking at what it can pull off in terms of gaming.

If you intend to invest in the MSX scene, then my recommendation for the best, all-round expansion is the MegaFlashROM SCC+ available from: https://www.msxcartridgeshop.com/

Hard drive and floppy emulation, memory expansion and Konami sound cart emulation all in one.

GPL-2.0-or-later

b) a PCChips A101 Mainboard with Memory and a Pentium 166 MMX (working)
(was sold as a 233 MMX but it came rather cheap and the seller gave me a discount and so that's fine with me.
Probably will sell it on cause I don't need another mobo+Cpu of this type)

Anyone in Europe with a spare Mobo + 233 MMX? 😉

Building my own PCs since 1991 - for my retro builds it's "no CF-disks, no Floppy emulators, no modern cases etc.", only the real and authentic stuff whenever possible.

@ildonaldo, i do have some working socket 7 motherboards and some pentiums (up to mmx 200) laying around in Estonia, waiting to be assembled into some AT cases. (I have desperate shortage of AT cases) But i'm always willing to find a good new owners for those as components as well. 😀

"640K ought to be enough for anybody." - And i intend to get every last bit out of it even after loading every damn driver!

Sorry, I am looking only for a MMX 233 to bring out the best of my Matrox m3d machine.

But anyway thanks for your offer, you won't happen to have a 486DLC 40 in your pool?
I am desperatly looking for this cause that was my second or third PC (after a VC20/C64/ST1024/8088/386DX40)

I do have one, but i'm not willing to let go of it. 😀
I have one set of 486DLC + FPU from cyrix.

I'm definitely tempted by the MegaFlashROM SCC+, will probably consider one of those either later this year or at some point next year. For the meantime I've ordered a pre-built CASDuino to load .cas files and until that arrives I'm just converting select games to .wav and loading from my PC.

Nice score today on “marktplaats”.
Two SC-155’s.

One took a fall and the display only worked half (and it’s missing it’s bezel) but I managed to fix the zebra strip and it’s fully functional again!

Nice score with the two 155's and excellent work fixing the broken one.

I gots an Aopen AX6... most boring Slot 1 board ever. Just runs. Not remarkably fast, not remarkably slow, supports what it says it supports. If you put a water cooling system on it, it would turn the coolant into chamomile tea.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

Lol. We need more of this......^^^^

It's my card then !! I don't like slow things or fast things. I would prefer it to transform the coolant into Beer but who knows ...with the right tuning can be ,( Chamomile does not make me sleep).

it's in essence a MU100 sound module on a PCI card, it's more of a workstation card, but you can just use it like an external MIDI module in another PC and feed MIDI into it if you feel like it.

Bought some parts for my retro portable consoles: shells, displays, buttons, membranes, and parts for my DMG-01 and GameBoy Color systems (well, modern items for retro consoles). The DS Lite is considered modern in this day and age.

Can you image the CD-ROMs please? I see your card comes with something from eMagic (special version of Soundiver?)

Argh, the horror. Our first PC was a PS/2 with one of these. It says a lot that at one point I saved up my pocket money for months to buy a blocky rectangular Genius mouse to be rid of this monstrosity. Yes, it looks cool and sleek, but ergonomics weren't even on the list of design criteria.

Ooh, nice two. IMHO the best of the Aztech cards with a very decent wavetable. That ALS100 card's nice too, at least assuming noise levels are acceptable.
