Interesting 😀

What are you going to do with it?

I wanted to check out a few games that supposedly take advantage of the Dual OPL2. a lot of Microprose games do, supposedly.

At first only the left channel was working, so I sprayed some contact cleaner in the audio jack and the volume wheel, and reseated all the chips. That seems to have fixed it although the volume is a bit low and the output is noisy, compared to my SB Pro 2's. I might try recapping it.

Those harddisks costet me about 40 euros for two drives.. On ebay they are listed like 199 USD each.. Its just having some luck on finding them.
I need special smaller drives so i can use them in my XT system..

Yeah i was the highest bidder there.. I knew for how much they normally are sold! I think mine price is really good.. I know it wont come with the other stuff like boxes and cables and so..
But iam really glad i could get a second card..

Last buys:

27zg2u0.jpg
They where sold as non tested / scrape..

1Quantum Fireball 4 GB, (can use this one on my 486 system or as spare drive replacement)
1 IBM 6 GB, ( think iam going to sell this one if its working)
1Samsung 80 GB, ( can use this one as spare for my slowest win98 se system)
1Samsung 1,2 GB, ( can use this drive on my 386 system)
1 Seagate ST-277 R, 66 MB (very intrests in this one)

Iam had specially intrests in that Seagate RLL 66MB drive, because on ebay they are getting very expensive now.
I also had bought 2 SCSI disk drives of the same kind design.. I need these drives for my XT build.. Now iam using an 500GB SCSI drive.. But that is just to big for a XT compatible computer. Aspecially when i use the DIR command at the first time.. So when its indexing the drive.. Its just a kind of slow.. That`s why iam going to try the drives that belongs to that time age..
The timing age i mean: Between 1987- 1990

Thats not a problem for me.. It would build inside the case.. The case cover doesnt have an empty opening. So with bezel i cant install it either..

Iam using this case at the moment:

The third slot is already been covered by the case cover.

Also i guess some 3,5inch to 5 1/4 kits will also come with these bezels if iam right.. I have three of these kits here laying around (and are beige color)

I dont know which systems you already have? But probably you may give it an upgrade to 400 / 450Mhz if its possible, and use this system as a regular (slower, first model) win98SE computer.

I'm curious what the HP could be used for. It has a AMD K6-2 300MHz.

First you should identify the motherboard. Chances are good that it houses either a SiS5598 or SiS530 chipsetted motherboard (both non-AGP, the former being a 66MHz FSB (though it could also be set at 75MHz FSB) and the latter being a Super 7 board).
I remember having taken apart a couple similar systems and I threw away the cases as I found them to be ugly and unpractical...but I would definitely keep the boards 😀

If you identify the board (or post a picture) I can help identify the board 😉

Hey....can I have it? J/k awesome find. In other news, my USB joystick I got, along with having the horrible sticky rubber problem (any help on this would be greatly apeprciated), it came with two copies of interplays Freespace:The Great War. So now I can sell one 😉 (ignore the do not sell on the CDs, silly people) and still keep a set for it. It also had a duplicate of the manual and quick start guide, but I didn't see another one of the joysticks in box around anywhere...hmmmmm suspicious. Oh! I also managed to dump a full glass of water on my keyboard...but luckily apparently it was the "messy eater" edition from cmstorm 🤣 and it has like walls around where the contact buttons are so no water got in, popped the keys off, dried with paper towel then used hair dryer and paper towel to get the remaining drops.

Doom isn't just a game, it's an apocalypse survival simulator.

I just bought a DFI Lanparty NF4 SLI-DR
I haved tried to buy DFI Lanparty motherboards before but although the seller said the cards were tested I never got a working one.

I hope I have better luck this time.
The board was expensive! $95 with a worthless 0.13 micron 3200+ single core CPU, 4*512 mb cheap cl3 memory and a GF6800GT.
The CPU, memory and video card covers the shipping so I guess I actually spent $95 on the bare board.

No box, no audio riser card and no cables. What you see is what I got.
The board at least looks to be in perfect condition, thats why I bought it even though it was expensive.

[edit] at least the board is posting 😀 [/edit]
