There is rust on all the brackets and the motherboard is really dirty. I have to do a restoration of this one but that is a pretty low priority at the moment.

Welcome Mr random lost viking. Yes interesting stuff, good score. Think you've got one of the better late PS/2 class machines there, and the P90 looks to be in the PC330 series.

Two sites you're gonna want to bookmark and these two are deep, don't see everything on front page..

At first glance that card looks like a terminal emulation card for speaking to mainframes or AS/400s

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

I am going to leave this here ... 😁

Also I really need to find a S940 motherboard as my FX-51 and FX-53 also need to strech their legs! 😁

Part 4 final.

In this last part is the pieces im most interested in.
All in all a good haul, this will surely keep me busy during the coming snow storms.

Not shown is an SNES in horrible condition, an Xbox 360 with extra separate HD-DVD player that did not show any kind of life. A Box of power supplys (one for a data general laptop. if anyone in the EU wants it then PM me), optical media, cables, joysticks etc.

(Yeah all batteries have been removed from the parts in the previous posts, dont worry!)

An interesting solution by the previous owner. When turning the PSU on i was greeted by the magic smoke and a pop so i'm guessing a filter-cap.

The reason that i gave a bid in the first place. Always wanted one. Opened it up and cleaned it inside yesterday - i did have to resolder a cap that was loose (!) but im happy to say that it works great and cleaned up really nice.

Wow! An Arctic Circle bumper crop! Now you just need to pickle & jar all of it for the long winter. Very nice haul.

Part 2

Okay, I can tell you for sure what Motherboard #2 is - that's an IBM PC-330 T/C 6571-xxx series motherboard, Socket 3. It will fit the "water damaged" machine you have if the other one does not work. That particular model (IBM PC-330) came in 2 versions, a 486 version (6571) and a Pentium version. Also, I believe the rriser card in the Pentium 90 case should fit it as these boards were also known as the "IBM Select-A-Bus". There are two jumpers next to the riser card slot that can be set for ISA/VLB and PCI. That said, you might be stuck with 5 volt CPU in that board though since there's a Voltage Adapter piece that attaches to the front of the motherboard to drop it down to 3.3v for a DX4-100MHz CPU. Either way, that's an excellent computer in either incarnation.

As for me today - bought another 800x600 panel for the Versa P/75, should be in by next week. AFter that, all I have is the 2 Varta repairs. I think this #DOScember video shoot will be more about actual games than hardware for once.

I found SC-88 in a local ad, price was very good and it seems nobody wanted it because it was for personal pickup only so I bought it. Device is in perfect visual condition - had only one owner before me - and it was some older woman who passed away recently and as her niece explained - she happened to be a composer for the biggest Polish catholic radio (I guess it's likely one of the biggest in Europe as well) catholic (let's say controversial with it's social and political views) ;D

So I guess it's only right to play some Blood, Doom, Dungeon Keeper and maybe Diablo (I don't know if it supports midi - I never cared for this game ;d ) using this module.

paid 15 bucks for it with io shield, no box, no manual, no cd

Yep, I had that exact board back in the day, when I upgraded my MSI K7T266 Pro2 board, thinking nForce was the bees knees, and there's no arguing Abit was the creme of the crop among motherboard manufacturers. If I recall, didn't the nForce chipset have a fair amount of issues?

It is labeled ASUS V9480. From what i can see that is a GeForce 4 Ti 4800SE. The SE cards was some sort of value-edition or?

8X AGP is the primary selling point for the SE versions. It's the NV28 chip, but otherwise same as the Ti4600.

The Ti4800SE is actually the Ti4400 with 8x, the Ti4800 is the Ti4600 with 8x (The SE bit is important as it is clocked slower than the Ti4800)

Yes nVidia did it bullshit even back then with its stupid naming.

There is even the Ti4200 and Ti4200 8X ...
And just to add to the confusion even more there is also a
Ti4200SE which has faster memory than the Ti4200 but is otherwise the same.
