I just successfully flashed this card's BIOS. It's a Hercules Radeon 9800XT 256MB card. I found a newer BIOS here. This website has lots of video card BIOSes. I used FlashRom version 2.4, and I found that here. I flashed the card's BIOS from version 008.015.048.000 to 008.015.063.000. It probably makes no difference, but it was interesting to do.

I flashed the card back to the old saved backup BIOS, then back to the new BIOS again - just to make sure it all worked. My old saved BIOS is dated 08/Oct/2003, and the new one is dated 29/Oct/2003. I found out all of this BIOS info by running Everest Ultimate. It tells you this info. I'm sure there are other tools that can do this too.

Yep had to do the same with my 5870 last month. Weird thing is Gigabyte actually provides a utility to flash the BIOS......but no updated BIOS was on their site. So I had to find one on the above website.
