Hi, Those two parameters get removed from my autoexec.bat only when booting into Windows 98.
Is it the Win98 driver that checks for those lines and remove them ? I suspect yes. Can I prevent this behaviour ?

Yes configure separate autoexec when booting into DOS.

It's actually when you shut down windows 98 IIRC, if the config in autoexec.bat doesn't match 98, then 98 will correct it.

You could try having a separate bat file for your SET BLASTER, etc, like I outlined here:

Thanks, that's what I figured.
I will simply have a separate .BAT to call for the PCI SB.

Thanks a bunch, I thought I was going crazy !
