Another advantage is if you are doing something that might mess up the OS,
you can just remove the card, put it in a card reader and make an image. Then do whatever
and if you need to you could rewrite the image.
Also 5 second OS swaps are neat.

There are many programs that can do it. One choice is winimage

I use the free version of Paragon Backup and Recovery 2014. Does the job nicely for my CF cards.
