Happy New Year everybody 😀

Right, I just wanted to ask if anybody happen to have the jumper manual for the motherboard mentioned in the subject title.
I'm not sure what manufacturer it is, but the model name is S486G, it's a VLB based motherboard, and http://motherboards.mbarron.net/manuals/486vlb3/s486g.zip appears to be broken for me.
This is a problem, as I need that manual 😒

If anybody has the jumper manual, or even a board like this, with known CPU jumper config that I can use as a reference photo, I would much appreciate it.

file.php?id=16591
The CPU in mounted in the picture isn't configured, I just put it in there seeing as the DX2 is a pretty "safe bet" if I'm going to do some testing. I would expect the default settings of the board to be 33MHz bus and 5V. But who knows? 😁

It seems "Motherboard Manuals Data & More" are the only source for this manual scan.
I would contact them via their Paypal donation email address and see if they could share it with you or otherwise make it available again, as it's error 403 permission denied.

Yeah, that was a really good idea actually. I've just done that. Hopefully they can provide me with the jumper manual in exchange for a donation.
It looks like a nicely designed VLB board in my opinion. The layout is good, as on a lot of boards, the CPU is located in front of the ISA slots, blocking the use of long ISA cards, such as that all important red beast of a sound card that is the GUS 😉
Now only time will tell if I can get my board set up correctly or not.

Apparently, according to those that compiled those BIOS registration databases back in the day.

This was supposedly their contact information but there's no doubt they are completely dead.

It's a real long shot but if you do get through to them, maybe they can open up the FTP and website to the Internet Archive's crawler. I'm not sure how much else they have others do not, but this was one. Currently it's blocked via robots.txt.

A shame that so much is lost because of the idiocy of robots.txt
