I have a motherboard
http://assets.hardwarezone.com/2009/reviews/mb/p5a/p5a.htm
with a processor pentium 200 mmx
2 modules 64 pc sdram 100mhz
with sound blaster 16

graphic which would be the best to put on this motherboard to fully retro games while moving some 3d games such as Unreal

I have the exact same motherboard. In mine, I use an S3 Trio 3D/2x for 2D and then I have my Voodoo 2 SLI setup to do 3D. So, in my opinion, I would go for that setup. For a 2D card, you can go for an S3 card (usually a Trio 64V+, VIRGE GX, or a Trio 3D/2X) as those are most compatible with DOS games and are generally cheap on EBay. And the Voodoo 2 offers optimal performance with 3D games, even more so with SLI. As far as I've read and tested, the V2 SLI can beat the V3 in some situations. The minimum price of the V2s that I can find on EBay as of this writing is around $20 to $30 if you don't have one already. But if you want an SLI setup, then be sure that you have a lot of money on reserve. Expect to spend up to $100 or so on those. That includes 2 of the cards, a pass-through cable, and an SLI cable (can be difficult to find, but thankfully you can make your own by just using a standard floppy cable). It's also recommended to get 2 V2s of the same model and with the same VRAM for SLI, but you can get away with model mismatches if you use third party drivers. I use FastVoodoo2 v4.6 for mine.

So, to put it simply, even though it's kinda clunky, that's what I would go for to get the maximum compatibility and performance in my retro build.

For a Pentium MMX class machine, my personal preference is Voodoo3. I unfortunately have no AGP slot on my motherboard, so I even needed to find a PCI version of the same card.

Considering you have an AGP slot, I suggest Voodoo3 AGP (relatively common and cheap) and you can even put an additional S3 PCI card (Virge or Trio64), to take advantage of excellent DOS compatibility of S3 cards (setting boot priority - AGP/PCI - from BIOS ).

200mmx is a perfect fit for a voodoo1, for 800x600 take a voodoo2.

Price/ performance wise the voodoo3 is your best bet and gives mucher resolutions but is a little bit less compatible with older dos glide games.

You won't see a difference between v3 2000, 3000 or 3500 as your cpu will be a bottleneck for these cards, so pick what you can get.

On 1024x768 a voodoo3 keeps scaling even up to tualatin cpu.
