Well, let's find out! 🤣

1. Download and install Crysis SP demo

There are lots of mirrors for the Crysis SP demo. Here are just a few:

http://www.gamershell.com/news_42876.html

http://www.4players.de/4players.php/download_ … load/46497.html

http://www.gamefront.com/files/Crysis+SP+Demo … ;/fileinfo.html

2. Download Guru3D's Crysis Benchmark Tool

Attached to this message, but can also be downloaded from here:

http://downloads.guru3d.com/downloadget.php?i … 39175fd59d50625

3. Download CPU-Z and GPU-Z

Attached to this message, but can also be downloaded from here:

http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/

4. Benchmark rules

There are two settings to be used:

1. Meant for XP machines, Vista+ machines with DX9 only graphics card, slower machines. Leave everything at default and make sure that:

*Needs .Net framework 3.5

Resolution = 1280 x 1024
Overall quality = High (Windows XP) or Very High (Vista+ and DX9 option)
Timedemo = benchmark_gpu
DX9

It should look like this:

2. Meant for Vista+ machines. Basically, if your machine can run Crysis in DX10 mode, use this setting. Leave everything at default and make sure that:

Resolution = 1920 x 1080
Overall quality = Very High
Timedemo = benchmark_gpu
DX10

It should look like this:

8QcMWYg.png

3. Meant for the slowest machines able to run Crysis. Low settings because of the length of time it takes to complete otherwuse. Leave everything at default and make sure that:

Resolution = 800 x 600
Overall quality = Low
Timedemo = benchmark_gpu
DX9

It should look like this:

Jteb1Da.png

5. Submission rules

Screenshot with:

- Two instances of CPU-Z, showing processor and memory
- GPU-Z
- Crysis Benchmark Tool result
- Post anything that you feel could be of interest in your message!

Notes:

- Have fun!
- Anything goes! OC, UC, whatever
- Under XP .Net framework 3.5 is required
- Leave 32 bit mode. 64 bit mode, for some reason, takes you to the introduction
- Leave screenshots at full size. You can just zoom out using CTRL + mouse wheel, or right click > Open image in new tab
- Added a third setting for really slow machines. 800 x 600, Low details and DX9. Otherwise it just take too long
- Noticed that under Windows XP, you can only select high,
- System requirements stolen from Steam:

I will definitely join this compet... ehm Crysis benchmarking assessment for everyone's benefit.

My test bench is full or Slot-1 CPUs at the moment so I will let others show their cards first 😉

Seems like an interesting benchmark. I'll definitely post results from a couple of my rigs here!

Cool 😀

Done a run on a XP machine. I had no idea the benchmark would take that long to complete 😵

Very similar! Same ram speed and GPU 😀

Hoping for someone to bring out some big GPU guns for this game... And finding the slowest system than can run it 🤣

Fun... I just bought a GTX970 last week (this is a Gigabyte Mini-ITX card btw), to finally get some of that 4k action.
I have the retail version of Crysis btw, and that one works fine in 64-bit in the benchmark, it seems:

Edit: the 32-bit version does seem to yield slightly higher framerates though:

Lookung at the other results, I guess my i7 860 is limiting the performance somewhat.

Running on my main machine. Its been 8 years and still not able to max it @1080p and AA with 60 fps 😵

Running the full patched retail version, seems to crash whenever I try 32-bit mode.

That I am. Not much of an improvement though.
Seems like my CPU is a bit of a bottleneck here.

Also planning on completing a radeon 9800 pro/Athlon xp machine this month which just barely matches the minimum requirements. Gonna see how this runs 🤣

I'll definitely join. I would like to compete in the XP-32bit and W8.1 segment of the competition.

An AMD GPU, what a surprise 😀

I think slowest possible may be my old Core2 Duo laptop with Intel X3100 GPU. It runs Crysis, even in DX10 mode, but at about 4 fps in 1280x800.
