Avrage: 38.34 FPS

Considering 9700 pro is below the minimum requirements, that's pretty good

Agree, and the cpu isn't much over the minimum P4 2.8GHz

Tried running the 9700 Pro @ 405MHz/358MHz and got the avrage of 42.72FPS (the GPU is voltmodded and got a copper cooler).

*ding*. Yes, virtualised - in Xen. The most glaring clue to my mind is that it's running a quad core CPU with only three cores..

I'll post the bare metal results later - they're not much better, as the limiting factor is the x4 PCI-e 1.0 slot. The memory type still isn't recognised, although the SPD works.

OK, Crysis on the bare metal - same PC. As you can see it's not very different.

Disappointingly, on my main gaming PC (weaker CPU, but GPU running at full speed), it's not /that/ much faster. If I take it down to 1600x1200 it only gives 33FPS average, 44FPS at 1280x1024

What's wrong with this one? Why such small frame rates? Is GT710 such a bad card? What am I doing wrong?

U aren't doing anything wrong.
GT 710 is just second slowest 7xx series card.
It's got 96SP with 128bit bus and (G)DDR3 memory.

U should know that GT 710 is between 8600 GT(S) and 9600 GT in terms of performance (and closer to the former since 710 has got same 128bit bus width).

Wow, thanks a lot for the heads up. I knew it was kind of a "value" product when I first buy it, but have no idea it has a performance that bad. I will retry the test with same resolution/detail level I used to test for my XP box and see if it is even worse than a GTS250 on a socket 939 CPU. 🤣

🤣 This is actually my first benchmark that I ever performed since the S3trio era (1994-5?) I, in general, hate benchmarks under normal conditions. 😊

I have another machine that supposed to "run" Crysis, my HTPC with core2 duo E8400 and ATI HD5450, running Windows 7 32 bit. Will it worth to try or 5450 is just too slow?

I just wanted to make a quick note about the settings. I'm assuming that changing the sound quality will affect the bits per channel and sampling rate or the audio. This concerns me as that could potentially cause some systems to have to resample the audio due to the board having a native resolution--for example: SbLive! using 16-bit @ 48kHz or perhaps 24-bit @ 96kHz, I'm just guessing, here.

But I think it's a valid concern as you don't need to be taxing the hardware in some useless way, which will affect the overall performance, in the end.
