I have a AK75-EC motherboard that seems to have some onboard Sound Blaster.
Have not got it working, but all DOS games recognize it. I also tried to install SB Pro drivers and the installation program detects it as SB Pro.
But I can't get any sound output.
What may be the problem?
Maybe need some bios settings, like enable legacy Audio device.
Does audio work in other OS like Knoppix?
I have not yet tried with any other OS. I'm not sure if this mobo even has real SB integrated or a clone, but I have enabled everything in BIOS. I found out that it uses the VIA VT82C686B chipset and there are some DOS drivers for this, so I have to test them now.
The problem looks like to be solved now. Downloaded VIA DOS drivers from http://www.mbudde.de/mp3player/files/DOS%20VIAFMTSR.zip and installed it. Wish everything was this easy.
