Recently i bought for a 1$ this adapter, industrial/army/space class flash hard disk scsi II with 50 pin port:
Manufactured by Adtron for RobotDoctor.
Adtron site says that it supports up to 64GB but robotdoctor site says it supports only 1GB max.
Device has 4 CF slots... all working. Seems to be working. My question is why it sees only 62MB when I use 8GB compact flash? I tested it with adaptec U160 card using 50Pin port and 68 wide port +adapter...All reports same capacity: 62MB.
I do not have any card with lower capacity
It is possible that robotdoctor has flashed own FW?

Has anyone seen such a device or had to deal with it?

Never seen one of these before. Personally I love this kind of shit, and would love to have something like this, just to play around with.
Normally I use a regulair HDD for IDE, though SCSI is a bit different, so CF cards seem to be a better choice when it comes to heat.
A shame you only have a CF edition and not one of those IDE to SCSI converters. 🙁

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

I have the CF25 (2.5" SCSI) version of this adapter (direct from Adtron no custom firmware), no problems using larger CF cards. Its entirely possible that the adapter you have has a custom ROM on it that limits the size of the CF card. Many custom/industrial applications required specific drive sizes in order to work.

Confirmed, the model number indicates the "size" of the drive: S35F-64CGH1

There are reports of size-limited Adtron drives out there.

Thanks NJRoadfan!
What do You think, is it possible to re-flash my disk?
Where to get original fw? Disk has rs232 port i see...
Adtron for sure made fw updates, so way to update fw must be?
