I'm such a fan of this video game music. I like the game allright, but I like the music so much ! Approaching the planet, the 3d intro... everything about that game was so musical and hot ! Anyone share my enthousiastm and want to talk about it ?

Soviet Conscrit : are you talking talking about that one where the blue planet appear on the bottom of the screen ? Oh gosh ! It's my favorite too!!! Damn I feel like a girl at a prom now... super dogfighter : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6D9s_5EUGYk this youtube version is priceless to me. I think using an adlib and running this game must be the first time I heard music from a computer on a 286, I got hooked on computer music since then. When I was a teen I was the best at doing that level without firign any gun as I could listen to that incredible music. Joking, I think the fx where pc-speakesrs and music was adlib, so I just disble the damn shit, I was never a pc speaker guy anyway.

ouch, the part where the front pannel pass front the ship, damn that was impressive back then ! https://youtu.be/6D9s_5EUGYk?t=713

my favorite is the mt32 version of the silpheed soundtrack, followed by Tandy one.

the gameblaster came with a modified version of the game that added support for that card for both music and sound effects, and also allowed sepparat soundcards for each (for example, mt32 music with gameblaster sound). it also detected the ps1 audio extention as tandy.

Yes ! I do that too. I hook the mt32 on the sb awe/pnp32 and with some fiddling the game silpheed work with the mt32. I find it's too bad it can only use the pc speakers for sound fx 🙁

Yeah I know. I'm the game provider for that video: it was bundled with some versions of Ibm ps/1. Newrisingsun also made a patch to use soundblaster for Digital effects, based on that version.

ah wow ! silpheed v3.2 is so neat ! 😀 Not sure I'm a big fan of the "bullet" sound fx, the laser are ok. I think the way they did it for that kind of bullet in wing commander was working better https://youtu.be/jGovqgotjJ4?t=341.

autoexecdotbat: Maybe I can do that if you provide the links to the file, I've did some quick research and found nothing.

Maybe you will like to hear my cover of the silpheed intro tune ? I used the mt32 to render the original .mid track and recorded distorted version of my bass guitar playing the lead. I dont recall having so much fun recording the bass line for a cover, it is something else this music bass line. http://junkskool.net/audio.aspx?d=/B_MotherHen/14_f-0.mp3

oh and pitch shitfted bassline at first, be set
