Good evening everyone.

Today I brought even more retro junk into our flat and I feel that my second half is just about to explode. She does not get it, which is perfectly understandable, considering the lack of space we're facing.

This is one of the reasons I've previously got myself the tiny 486 board - 4DPS. But it's size woun't matter if I cannot fit it in some small AT box. I was trying to find some small AT chassis, and the smallest one I found (and I'm about to buy) is this: http://olx.pl/oferta/california-access-stara- … 99-ID79C9P.html.

Not exeptionally small, though.

And here's the question: what is the smallest AT case you have ever came by? In my case, It does not even need to have a single drive bay, as I'm going to stick with CF card reader in my project.

Any help appreciated.

I know about them woman getting annoyed about too much old hardware. Mine is about to say stop regarding cases and finished builds.
She does not mind pieced in boxes though, as they obtain less space... Anyway, to you'r question.

That case is small, actually about the smallest I know. I have not seen anything smaller than that and baby-at towers.
If you have like a couple of those, maby three, you can place them on top of each other. Wich saves space.

Get an industrial case and use an SBC card instead of traditional 'motherboard' maybe.

yeah, this would be he solution, but I'm very fond of isa cards and stuff and want them in my machine, like my new ct2760.

BTW - do you like the case I linked? I have already ordered it, the seller says it was barely used.

Wish I was able to source a case like that, and for cheap. You are lucky to find it.

Well, some great stuff you can get cheaper - at least in Poland - but 25$ shipped is still a pretty decent offer, considering its condition. I find it the hardest part: to find a nice (there are many ugly cases, and I totally don't like those from 95+ period) and well preserved case.

I bought this one lately: http://allegro.pl/cvu-i486-dx2-66-bcm-i6063745156.html

Looks nice on the pics, unfortunatelly it has many dents and scratches.

The PSU is always the >biggest< problem. You could just order pico-psu style ATX power supply and make a ATX-AT converter, then you can store entire PC in a box or wherever you want to.

If all else fails you could try making a case to your needs and taste, just don't make it out of particle board or something like that 🤣.
