Hi again! 😁

I wonder which GPU would be the best to get this red tint which is present in Diablo 2 "Den of evil" quest? As i remember playing it years ago my Riva TNT2 M64 didnt have such effect. Then my friend showed me S3 Savage and i was like WOW! The red tint in the cave level was so great! 😁

Now, I'm completing a maxed-out Super Socket7 PC, and dont know if VooDoo 3 3000 will give me the same effects as seen on S3 Savage. What would you recommend?

If I am not mistaken Diablo 2 is specifically designed with the glide api so a voodoo card would be best

Yup, D2 actually works so much better in Glide, that serious players often use a Glide wrapper rather than running it native in D3D or D2D, when playing it on modern systems.

I would point out that Blizzard a few months ago patched D2 to where it runs pretty flawlessly in D3D now on modern systems.

All that has been said is true, although if I'm not mistaken, a recent patch removed glide support altogether. It also now requires Windows XP or later for multiplayer/online (which automatically downloads the patches).

If all you play is single player you should be able to get around this.

*Ryzen 9 3900xt, 5700xt, Win10
*Ryzen 7 2700x, Gtx1080, Win10
*FX 9590, Vega64, Win10
*Phenom IIx6 1100T, R9 380, Win7
*QX9770, r9 270x, Win7
*FX60, hd5850, Win7
*XP2400+, ti4600, Win2k
*PPro 200 1mb, banshee, w98
*AMD 5x86, CL , DOS

It says to use the -3dfx switch now according to these patch notes.
