Does anyone know the difference? I've seen both on ebay and curious what differences there are between the "B" and "E" revisions.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

I have two cards one with a YMF718 and one with a YMF719 and apart from the layout of components on the boards (different OEMs) they appear to be identical. Certainly i haven't noticed any difference between them 😀. All of the info I've been able to find says YMF715, YMF718 and YMF719 are the same chips.

I seem to remember that when I had the YMF719 card in my system, there was an extra option for 3D sound in the OPL3SAx setup program that did not appear when the YMF718 card was installed.

Not sure the difference between the B and E variants of YMF719 though. It must be something very minor. Has anyone tried asking Yamaha?
