Hi all,
just letting you know I have only 9 pieces of Dreamblaster S1 left at this moment, and 5 pieces of Dreamblaster S1 breakout board (I can convert these to regular S1 if needed).
These are all the well known '2014 model', I expect it to be out of stock soon. (I warned you in advance, this time, so don't send me disappointed messages like for X1 🤣 )
Anyway, it is not the end for S1, I will plan another small 'final' run of this S1. These may be a bit more expensive than the 2014 model, because of the smaller production run, and also not available in short term. So probably a good idea to grab a 2014 model if you like it cheap, and want one still this year.
For those who don't have an S1, you can see the S1 in action in Phil's review : https://youtu.be/GWXRJGTMlkU

There will still be MIDI boards, but not the same :

X1 is out of stock, and will not be produced again, only 60 were ever produced, and only 50 were sold, mostly to vogon members.
I am working on X2, a successor for X1, which should be available by the end of november / begin december.

For S1, I plan one 'final' run. It is based on the SAM2195, which is a really great chip, but it is obsolete by now.
--> I ordered the remaining stock of SAM2195 chips from the distributor, and will make a 'final' run of S1 by begin 2017.
No more S1 after this second run.

The '2014' edition is still available at low cost here at the moment : http://www.serdashop.com/waveblaster
After this is out of stock, will need to wait for the '2017' model, same specs, but probably slightly higher price.

Just wanted to chime in to say that I'm loving my S1! Makes old Lucasarts games sound great on my SB16. Those games just sound better with real samples, rather than FM synthesis.

What happened to the other 10?

BTW, I'm one of those lucky 50 😀 I wonder if these will eventually hit the insane prices that Yamaha/Roland daughterboards sell for these days.

Well my X1 webshop counter is at 50, so that is what was sold. The other 10, nothing mysterious : I have 1 left (for myself). a few were was broken or lost in postal services (I had to resend). The rest was given away to friends and for reviews. Phil did a great review in his Computerlab https://youtu.be/CEiooPiW2LQ ! and I gave one to my friend 'Geraar' who uses it in his ax 100, and made these demo videos : https://youtu.be/XCddCb69190 https://youtu.be/m209Qm7jHMI . Other 'reviewers' didn't do anything with it, apparently rather a scam to get free stuff, I learned from that.

By the way, I am not that much a collector myself, I gave my original, first hand soldered X1 prototype to Chiel 'Chill', you can see it on his page : http://members.home.nl/c.kersten/
Didn't include such early prototypes in the count.

😀 Right me if I'm wong but I think I've just bought the last one DreamBlaster Synth S1? Is that possible? If yes - that would be so cool... I've just ordered one... there was (!) near "Stock" and after my order there is (x)? 🤣

If that was the last one that is great pleasure for me... Thanks for your work a lot dreamblaster!!!! Thanks for your review Phil (I've made decision after watching your video)...

This is my very first wavetable daughterboard... and I have a lot wavetable cards... so that may be first piece for my doughterboard collection 😀 😀 😀

Hi Batyra,
thanks! you are right, I forgot to subtract my own dreamblaster S1, so this way you could still order one...
Luck for you, and it's okay I will send it to you.
It is the very last of the 'classic' 2014 series, the very last green S1.

So for a while, no S1 available anymore, but I could still buy the remaining stock of 152 pcs of SAM2195 😀,
--> so I plan to have 150 pieces of '2017 final edition' S1 produced ASAP, these will be in black.
At earliest they could be available first half of december, no confirmation for production schedule yet.
