I've seen a few listings on Ebay for 10 blank 3.5" floppy disks going fairly cheap only to realise that they're 1.4Mb MAC formatted. Is it possible to just stick these in a PC and format them to be usable or is that why they're going cheap.

Yeah, those floppies will format as IBM no problem. Done it a million times.

Use this command argument in DOS to convert Mac formatted diskettes to IBM format.

1C:\format A: /f:1.44
