Vogons told me Acer AP43 = Aopen AP43, so I fired up my favorite time machine and found two versions of them. I checked and both links worked.
It's always good to keep the original BIOS chip if you have spare chips. Or dump the content before updating if you don't have a spare.

Aopen.... i really didn't know. Yep, found the bios file now! Thanx again, let's hope it works.

Ok, flashed it on the same 430tx board as before and had a perfect result: worked fine at first boot. Now it recognizes the 5x86 amd correctly and overclocking to 160mhz (4x40fsb) works like a charm!

Yeah, both are pretty fast. Will test and see which is best, should be the gigabyte.
