Are there any Tandy fans out there with a 1000 TL/3? I am in the process of acquiring one and am interested in any insights anyone might have with regard to this model.

Didn't even know that was a thing, I own the TL and TL2 (also a 3000HL) and the TL ones are great (3000HL less so).

Yep it's a thing. I had a loaded TL/2 back in the day, was the first system I bought for myself. The TL/3 looks to be just a slightly upgraded version. I'm not getting the keyboard though, and I'm not sure if it'll work with what I have. The keyboard port on the TL/3 is PS2 style, even according to the support docs on radio shacks site. I've seen conflicting information though as to whether it operates in XT mode still. I guess I'll find out soon enough. I'm sure it'll end up being a rabbit hole one way or the other.

The RL series used XT keyboards with PS2 style connectors, I'm pretty sure the TL/3 will as well. A standard AT to PS2 adapter will work with an XT keyboard in this case, though.
