Hello everyone! 😊
I am pleased to meet these places where I enjoy the old hardware and the software.

I am a person who is interested in video cards.
In particular, I like the Matrox products because they have look great color.
For that reason, I started collecting Matrox products 15 years ago.

When I bought the G400 MAX in 1999, I never imagined that my relationship with the Matrox would continue.
However, the amazing 'Dualhead' and even more stunning colors made me fall into the magic of Matrox.

This picture was taken several years ago.
Due to the large number of cards collected, it is not easy to organize and take pictures properly.
It's a poor collection, but I'd appreciate it if you enjoyed it.

Hahaha oh wow

Who doesn't love Matrox cards?

I had the Matrox Mystique 220 4 mb back in 1997, the Masked Pierrot printed on the drivers cd was mesmerizing, 🤣
And it is blazing fast in 2d and windows, i had a really expensive philips brilliance 17 inch monitor back then , it was a great combo. Too bad Matrox was lacking in the 3d department, but i soon added a Voodoo 2 and all was set.
Matrox g 400 later was nearly on par with nvidia if i recall correcly, but in '99 i chose the 3d blaster tnt2 ultra.

I'm still looking for a Mystique 220 ,i want to put it in my p200mmx 'replica'.
maybe i'll find it in a scrapped pc someday...

Hi,

I consider myself a Matrox fan as well. Your awesome collection is very impressive to say the least. 😀

I am trying to build some sort of maxed out Matrox MSI retro pc, however it turns out more difficult to put together than I thought.

Besides other odd quirks, the Mystique 220 doesn't seem to be compatible with all available MSI titles, at least not with my SR440BX mainboard. So I replaced the 1164-SG with the 1064-SG.

I would have liked to buy a 4MB RAM expansion for the Mystique, but 4MB expansions are hard to come by, so I am thinking of buying a 2MB RAM expansion instead.

The reason I am writing all this is for the following question:

Are the 2MB expansions even compatible with a 4MB Mystique? Or can 4MB Mystiques only be paired with 4MB RAM expansions? Maybe that is a question you'd know the answer for. 😉

Hey IlhanK. I am not the OP, but I am fairly certain that you can't use a 4MB expansion with a 2 MB card. I ordered an expansion direct from Matrox in 1998 and got one that wouldn't work because it didn't match the size of the RAM for my Mystique I was using at the time.

Any chance to see numbers 1,2,3 in full screen photos? Everything before 1993 from matrox is ultra rare and almost everytime nowhere to seen in good quality....

Not only mine graphics cards collection at http://www.vgamuseum.info

I've always thought it was cool looking at the graphics cards you collected. 😊
Next time I'll take a look at the these cards.

I also look forward to collecting VLB graphics cards. 😀
Thanks for your advice!

I assume that the compatibility of the memory modules depends on the chipset from Mystique(1064SG) and Mystique 220(1164SG).
It is necessary to test whether compatibility depends on amount of the memory.
I'll try to test it later and let you know. 😊

That's one heck of a Matrox collection! 😁

If you want (and as a few others have suggested), could you take some more detailed pics of some of the more rare cards? Especially the ISA cards might be nice to see detailed pics off (both front and back of the cards). Also pics of the RAM expansion modules would be nice I think.

Whats missing in your collections?
