Acer 1125 386DX-25 AT system up for grabs

FOR PARTS / NOT WORKING

It powers on but I hear no POST beeps, and there is no graphics card present to view anything on screen. It suffered from a battery spill disaster, but fortunately the battery was external and appears to have only leaked on the metal drive cage part of the case. I couldn't observe any corrosion/damage on the motherboard. Could possibly be repairable. You can see the extent of the corrosion/damage in the photos.

I did keep for myself the hard drive and the IDE/floppy controller card that you see in some of the pictures. There was no graphics card or 5.25" floppy when I got it, so these went missing a long time ago.

Includes basically what you see here: heavy duty case, MB/CPU, floppy drive, power supply, a couple of misc. I/O cards, ISA NIC, misc. cables, and the drive rails from the hard drive.

It's a big chonker so I'd really prefer local pickup instead of shipping, but I could try to source a sturdy box and packing materials if someone wants it shipped badly enough.

Just wanted to give an enthusiast a shot at it before it goes to the recycler or gets parted out further.

Located near Sharon Center, Ohio (44274).

Must go for shipping price.
Ideally the 3 items at once.

That DTC SCSI is new in the box.
I very gently opened it by making a minimal cut on one side of the plastic wrap - for a brief functionality test.

If it's not gone I'd gladly take this one (and other stuff if needed), are you in American continent?

How about a 3D printed IO plate for an Asus TX97-XE? A new item for old hardware.

I recently modified an IO shield for a different board to work on my TX97-XE. My first print worked perfectly, but there was a line on the print I wanted to remove. So, I removed it, or so I thought, and printed a 2nd shield to see if it worked. Stupid line was still there. So, I shelved the edit until I have a day off to work on it. However, that means I have an extra TX97 IO shield I don't need. So...

If anyone in the United States wants it, I will happily ship it to you for free. It won't cost much more than a stamp since it's so lightweight.

Below is a photo of the plate. You can see the line going through the A in Asus. 😜

Man, I would love those VideoSeven Vega VGA driver + utility disks since I have at least one of those cards. I saw "Bristol" and got my hopes up, but alas, Bristol UK is much farther away than Bristol, Tennessee.

Also, just out of curiosity... what is in the brown mystery box?

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.
