Hello!

I've got an ASUS P2B Rev 1.10 that i was planing to use an SD to IDE adapter together with and i'm kind of stuck at the moment.

The problem is that the SD card will not be recognized in BIOS, auto detect or manual settings does not work. Regular IDE drives and SATA to IDE adapters work. I've tried different SD cards, both new and old and ranging from 2GB up to 64GB with no luck.

I've tried to update BIOS and that didn't work either.

Anyone got any tips on what do to?

So I got it to work!

I changed the IDE cable to another one, strange is that the IDE cable that did not work with the SD to IDE adapter worked on the normal IDE drive, any suggestion why that is? 😳

maybe it was a 40wire and you now have a 80 wire cable?
temperamental SD adaptor?
temperamental old motherboard?

Truth is this happens a lot wit old hardware, finding a combination of parts that work, its all part of the fun. I wouldn't worry about it
