Hey y'all, a long time ago I got 2 Mac classic IIs.
One of them had a shot CRT, so I parted it out.
The other one had the stars and stripes problem, so I washed it with vinegar and put it back in and it didn't give me a display at all.
Both boards are non-working, does anyone have advice for me - where do I start troubleshooting?

Check all of the capacitors for any leaks (always do this), check for corrosion on the power connection and all of the boards, including the analog board (use DeoxIT), and check for frayed or chewed up wires as well since mice might've chewed the wires (they can fit in a pencil-sized hole).

Also check the on-board battery. It won't work without a working battery.
After you installed a new one, you may have to press the reset button(s) to clear the NVRAM/PRAM.
After this, the machine should run again.

Ah, the infamous 1/2 AA 3.6V lithium battery. I hate those things. The only spot to get them nowadays would be eBay as there aren't any RadioShacks any longer and my local computer store sells the Apple IIGS version (solder on).
