Hi,
Yesterday I got my hands on an unusual MFM controller. Seems like it is built from pretty standard stuff, but some really nice guy decided stomping on it and stripping off all the XTALs. I already ordered new PLCC82 socket, figured out that the WD10C20B Data Separator works with 10MHz crystal, but the other ones are complete mystery to me.
Do anybody have at least an idea what the heck is this thing? I don't even know if it in fact is a MFM controller, it could be RLL, or even ESDI. Thanks for help 😀

(This picture was taken when I got it. It looks way nicer now, I removed all the sticky pad residue and the broken socket and straightened all of the pins.)

That WD1015-PL is an ST-506 controller, so it's either MFM or RLL, not ESDI. However the white sticker with illegible text in the pic on the right hand side has an FCC-ID. Do a search on that and you should get vendor and model, and 9 times out of 10 the model name will tell you whether it's MFM or RLL.
