Hi! I need change some defective memory chips in a 486 motherboard:

What type of socket using the memory of previously picture: DIP-28 or SOJ?

Are the sockets in the links OK?

Yeah they're not defective, they just never worked because it's a fucking piece of metal inside a plastic shell with metal legs ^^

But I noticed that on most boards (except the infamous pcchips m919), replacing fake cache chips solves the issue, no need to modify the bios, and the traces actually go somewhere (unlike on the m919) so it should work. However you should also put proper jumpers in the spots where they should be. Currently they're hardwired.
