I've just bought a Jetway 542B Mobo, and this particular one doesn't come with any connectors for serial/parallel ports etc. However there is a 6-pin header which the manual states will allow you to use a PS/2 mouse. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on an appropriate cable & expansion slot bracket for one of these?

My suggestion is to get something like:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/PS-2-Mini-Din-6Pin-F … =item5b419d4153
And:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/40x-MTE-06-Plug-pin- … hUAAOSwrZBcN1Zi
And repin it to match your motherboard header.
And even if you should find something that appears to be a perfect fit, theres still a chance the pinout is different.
I belive the female 6-pin connector is called "mte-06", could be wrong tho.

Nice board ! which revision do you have ? You can buy mouse brackets at Startech:

But you will likely have to replace the plug. And you -must- make sure that the wires are connected in the right way or you may risk burning wires; the wire colours that are used in these aftermarket brackets are not universal.

They are all good as far as I know. I cannot find my revision notes but I had a 542B that did not like AMD K6+ cpu's. It suffered from a tremendous slowdown with a K6+ cpu but worked flawlessly with regular K6. My board had a voltage regulator like on the pic. Another version that does run with K6+ cpu has an 8 pin connector and works with more than 1 jumper.
