Hello,
im trying to find VIA IDE Windows 98 drivers for Zida Tomato TX98-3D MB, i installed VIA Hyperion package - 4in1435v.zip from Phils pages but there is still the same VIA IDE driver from Windows CD, i wonder if there is something better?

Its VIA IDE driver within this package or there some stand alone driver? It manual is not too much info, i found this:
The motherboard uses VIA VT82580VPX PCI chipset. The VIA VT82C586B PCI/ISA Bridge provides
an integrated Bus Mastering IDE controller with two high performance UltraDMA-33 EIDE interfaces for
up to four IDE devices (such as hard drives or CD-ROM).

I found this driver - VIA_IDE_MPD_V320b.zip - in driver manager is now 2003/06/19 driver, it install some caching booster - it eating some of memory and some utility to tray, now i have at least proper names of disc in Hardware manager.
Utility reporst that disk (ST340016A) is able to make UDMA 33,66,100 and more and chipset is too UDMA 33 - even current mode of disk is ATA 33, but real disc performance is around 10-16 MB/s regarding of RoadKill benchmark.

I wonder if disk is just slow, or that my K6-II 300 is simply too slow for force it too better performance, or its just poor VIA driver problem?
