It did not work for me on an IBM thinkpad 380 but maybe I was doing it wrong. The IBM 380 has a smart harddrive with password protection built in and other features so the bios requirred these features to be present in order to boot up. Otherwise the bios programming would assume some one is trying to hack the computer bios security features.
Maybe an IBM 17mm 3gb. or 5gb. hard-drive might work in your 755c ?
I looked for my 755c in my garage the other day but could not immediatley find it as my garage is a mess of boxes.
Or I would test it out for you.
